Here at Citrix Synergy in San Francisco

I’m now in San Francisco getting ready for Citrix Summit, and later this week for the Citrix Synergy.

After some delays due to the volcano in the Iceland, we finally made it to San Francisco after 36 hours of traveling.

It has been some very busy months and I haven’t had the time to blog as much as I would like to, but now I’m all psyched up and ready for Synergy and I hope to compensate by blogging about this great event.

As I already have announced earlier I’m presenting a session with René Vester Wednesday, May 12, at 9:00 am. We have been very busy getting ready but we are finally done and I think this will be great. The session is titled SYN321- Supporting Macs and iPhones in your corporate infrastructure. If your in San Francisco stop by, I’m sure it will be worth your time.

Today we start with Citrix Summit, the Citrix partner evnet. This event is under NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Which basically means we’re not allowed to talk (or blog) about the content. You’ll have to wait for the big news until Wednesday, where Synergy starts, then we see what’s made public. I will try to blog about non-NDA content under Summit.

I’m really excited and I’m looking forward to hear what Citrix have for us this year. I’m pretty sure they will announce the public beta of XenClient, but we’ll see about that – I have been wrong before . Anyway there is a lot of XenClient session and demonstrations available on Summit and Synergy and I will not miss those. There will also be a lot of other interesting sessions. I have tried to make a schedule in advance, but I really had to make some tough choices about what I’m gonna hear.

I will now head over to Moscone West for Summit, but I’ll come back with updates throughout the week.

If your interested you can follow whats happening on Twitter, by searching after twits containing #CitrixSynergy.

Speaker at Citrix Synergy 2010 in San Francisco

Wow! It’s now official! –  I’m going to be a speaker at Citrix Synergy in San Francisco in May.

I’m going to San Francisco to give a session at Citrix Synergy 2010. The session was approved late january, after waiting several months, since the official deadline for ”call for papers”. Now the official agenda is released and can be found here (http://www.citrixsynergy.com/agenda/sessions.html).

I’m presenting a session titled SYN321- Supporting Macs and iPhones in your corporate infrastructure. With me as co-presenter are René Vester. René is a very good friend of mine and a Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) – Check out René’s  blog at renevester.com.

The session is scheduled on Wednesday, May 12, at 9:00 am – Right before the Keynote 🙂

Session Description:

Mac computers and iPhones are getting more and more popular among the users of corporate IT infrastructure. BYOC concepts are introducing more Mac’s into “no-Mac” companies. With the introduction of more operating system platforms, IT organizations face new challenges to handle these non-Windows user devices. In this session we will layout the options with live demonstrations of Mac/Citrix use cases to show how this new type of user device can be incorporated into existing or planned Citrix infrastructure.

In this session you will learn:

  • How Citrix technologies complement the Mac and the iPhone
  • How to get the most out of Citrix on Mac/iPhone
  • Best practices on how to implement Citrix solutions on Mac

I’m very excited about this opportunity and I hope you’ll attend the session, if your lucky enough to be in San Francisco in May.

I’ll get back later with more insight information on the session.

First Non-Citrite on Citrix TV

I recently delivered a session on the upcomming Citrix feature Power and Capacity Manager for the Danish Citirx Usergroup. This session is publicly available at Citrix’s own web-channel Citrix TV. To my best knowledge, I’m the first Non-Citrite to be broadcasted through Citrix TV – I personally find that very cool 🙂

Check out the session on Citrix TV (Please be aware that the session is in Danish):

CUGtech Autumn 2009

I have just returned from CUGtech in Norway. CUGtech is the norwegian Ctirix User Group’s autumn event. It has been a great pleasure attending. The event was extremely well organized, with great sessions and friendly people. The event was held in Dr. holm Hotel in Geilo. Even though Geilo is all most 4 hours by train from Oslo, it’s a great location. CUGtech had the hotel for them self, the conference facilities was good, great food and a beautiful view.

I attended some great sessions presented by Shawn Bass, Dr. Benny Tritsch, Rich Crusco, Rick Dehlinger, Alex Yushchenko and Rene Vester. Most of the sessions was recorded and will hopefully be available on the website later.

A big thanks to the norwegian Citrix User Group for a fantastic event.
